The Company complies with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information and other relevant norms, ensuring the proper handling of personal information.
The definitions of terms used in this Policy follow those provided in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “APPI”).

The Company will use acquired personal information only within the scope necessary for the execution of its business, as specified below. When outsourcing the handling of personal information to third parties, the Company ensures the appropriate use of personal information through proper supervision.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:

  1. Prior consent has been obtained from the individual.
  2. Information is outsourced within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  3. Provision is required by law.
  4. Provision is necessary to protect life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult.
  5. Cooperation with public authorities is required for the execution of legally defined duties.
  6. Statistical data that does not identify individuals is disclosed or provided.

Development of Handling Regulations

  • Specific procedures for each phase—acquisition, use, storage, provision, and disposal—are defined in Basic Policy on Specific Personal Information.

Organizational Security Control Measures

  • A person responsible for handling personal data is appointed, and the scope of data handled by employees is clarified. A reporting structure is established for incidents or potential violations.

Human Security Control Measures

  • Regular training is conducted for employees, and confidentiality clauses are included in work regulations.

Physical Security Control Measures

  • Measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access to areas where personal data is handled and to prevent theft or loss of devices and documents.

Technical Security Control Measures

  • Access controls are implemented to limit personnel and scope of access to personal data.
  • Systems are protected from external threats, including unauthorized access and malware.

8. Transfer of Personal Information Outside of Japan

The Company operates globally and may transfer personal information overseas.
When transferring personal information to countries or regions that do not have equivalent data protection regulations as Japan, the Company will ensure such transfers occur under one of the following conditions:

  1. The recipient country has been designated by law as providing a level of protection equivalent to that of Japan.

  2. It may significantly hinder the appropriate operation of the Company’s business.
